Above the bed

So I'm trying to find some kind of cool art or mirrors or something to put above our bed. Our room is pretty much all black and off-white. It actually doesn't look too bad as it is right now, but I like to switch things up now and then. So I'm on the search but here are a few things I've been looking at.

I love this mirror set up from Anthropologie.

And these are a few prints I found on Etsy.

I'm pretty positive I'm going to get this last one.

How can you look at that face and just pass it by?
Seriously.

The tragedy of first position

I saw this is video on another blog and Zach and I just laughed and laughed. Sometimes this is how I feel even when I'm not practicing ballet.

My Big Sis is Back!

A couple weekends ago I was able to go home and reunite with my long lost Sister Missionary! I got to go home for a few days to hang out and catch up. Loved every second of it.

Of course I had to take a few pictures while I was home.

Catie couldn't stop laughing at all my funny jokes the whole weekend.
Of course I was sad when I had to leave.

Ok so maybe I did forget to bring my camera home, yet again, and missed some important photo opportunities. But we still had a lot of fun. Especially when I had to stay two extra days because my flight had to be pushed back.

I'm sooooo happy she's home. It really stunk not having her around for our wedding and stuff. But I guess that's the sacrifice missionaries and their families make to serve the Lord. At least I'll be able to go to hers, whenever that will be...

I love you sister! Glad you're home.

Family Home Evening

So far in our marriage we haven't been super duper good at doing FHE. But tonight we had a fun/random FHE activity.

It included Nutella, Ritz, and Valentine marshmallows.

Don't be jealous.

Instructions: Place mallow on a cracker.
Microwave cracker and mallow for approximately 15 seconds.
Spread Nutella on a second cracker.
Squish the two crackers with the mallow in between together.
Ya, it's a beautiful thing.
I have the best family.

Office Party

This is Mindy Gledhill

She's a really great LDS singer with a few church cds plus a new one that's all her own stuff. She's great.

So, the owner of the website I work for is Mike and Leslie Gledhill.
Therefore I shouldn't have been surprised when on Wednesday we got a little visit from their daughter-in-law Mindy! She's so cute but I wasn't totally sure it was her at first because it's always weird when you see famous or even semi-famous people. So I didn't say anything to her.
But after the fact I thought of exactly what I would have said.
I would have said "Hey are you Mindy? I love your music so much. It seriously got me through high school." Then we would have been instant friends, my boss would give me a raise, and she would have had me sing backup or something for her next album or show. Then her agent would tell me I'm awesome and I should sign with them and go on tour. Then I would the first famous person in our family without even trying. After my tour I would take the Broughs and the Porters all to DISNEYLAND!!
I hate it when I think of the perfect thing to say after the time is far gone... I guess that's just life.
